Welcome to Opringo (the “Platform” or “App”). Opringo is operated by Ray Atsukson Services, a social entrepreneurship and general contracting business based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria (“Opringo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Opringo provides an online platform that enables adults to communicate, discover people with shared interests, build social connections and participate in personal and entertainment-related interactions through electronic communications networks, including the Opringo website and any downloadable applications we make available (collectively, the “Platform”).
These Terms & Conditions of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Platform.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Guide to Online and Offline Safety, and any additional terms presented to you when purchasing or using particular features, products or services.
Together, these documents form the agreement between you and Opringo (“Agreement”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not create an account or use the Platform. Where applicable law requires express consent, we will obtain that consent through an appropriate process.
Opringo is intended exclusively for adults. You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use the Platform in your jurisdiction.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
Opringo may take reasonable steps to verify age or eligibility where necessary and permitted by law. Accounts reasonably suspected of belonging to minors may be restricted or suspended pending appropriate review.
You may register for a free account by creating a profile on the Platform. Certain features, products or services may require payment or may be available only under additional terms disclosed before use.
Opringo may refuse a registration request or restrict an account where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or enforcement of this Agreement.
Each user must maintain an individual account and must not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions, mislead other users or abuse Platform features. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, transferred or shared without Opringo's written permission.
You are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your login credentials and for activities conducted through your account, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise or the activity results from Opringo's fault or a technical failure attributable to Opringo.
If you suspect unauthorised access, promptly notify us at support@opringo.com . We may take reasonable steps to secure your account and investigate the incident.
You may close your Opringo account at any time through your account settings, where that functionality is available, or by contacting our support team.
Opringo may suspend, restrict or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of a breach of this Agreement, suspected fraud, threats to user safety, security risks, legal obligations or other legitimate operational reasons.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice of the action and an opportunity to address or appeal it. We may act without prior notice where urgent action is reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent abuse, preserve security or comply with the law.
Account closure or termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund. However, refunds, unused paid services, subscriptions and other balances will be handled in accordance with the applicable purchase terms and mandatory legal requirements.
Following termination, you must not create another account to evade a valid restriction unless Opringo authorises you to do so.
You agree to use the Platform lawfully, respectfully and consistently with its purpose of enabling adults to communicate and build social connections.
In particular, you agree to:
You must not:
Political or religious discussion must not be used to harass, threaten, discriminate against or intimidate other users.
Opringo may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts or terminate membership when reasonably necessary to enforce these rules or comply with applicable law. Where legally required, Opringo may preserve or disclose relevant information to competent authorities.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify Opringo and its officers, employees, agents and service providers against third-party claims, losses and reasonable legal expenses arising from your unlawful conduct, infringement of another person's rights or material breach of this Agreement. This provision does not apply to the extent a claim results from Opringo's own unlawful conduct or other circumstances for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Opringo aims to maintain a respectful environment for users. Users may report suspected violations through the Platform's reporting functionality, where available, or through our published support channels.
We may review reported profiles, messages, images and other content, and may remove content, restrict access or take other appropriate action based on the circumstances, our policies and applicable law.
We will make reasonable efforts to address reports, particularly those involving threats, exploitation, fraud, harassment or risks to personal safety. Reporting does not guarantee that particular content will be removed or that a particular outcome will follow.
You should exercise reasonable caution when communicating with other users, sharing personal information, moving conversations to external services or arranging in-person meetings.
Opringo does not routinely conduct criminal background checks on all users and cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, conduct or accuracy of information supplied by every user. Where a verification feature is offered, its scope and limitations will be explained as appropriate. A verification badge must not be understood as a guarantee of a user's character, safety or intentions.
You are responsible for making informed decisions about your interactions with other users. Do not send money, disclose passwords or share sensitive financial information with people you do not trust. Report suspected scams, impersonation, threats or abuse promptly.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any duty or liability that applicable law requires Opringo to retain.
Opringo may offer paid features, subscriptions, digital items, virtual currency or other services through direct billing or authorised third-party payment providers.
Before completing a purchase, you will be provided with the applicable price, payment method, principal features and material conditions, including recurring billing terms where relevant.
By confirming a purchase, you authorise the applicable payment provider or Opringo, as appropriate, to process the payment you have selected. Applicable taxes and additional charges will be disclosed before payment where required.
Virtual currency, digital items and other paid features may be subject to additional terms displayed at the time of purchase. Unless expressly stated otherwise in those terms or required by law, virtual currency is a digital feature of the Platform and is not a bank deposit or legal tender.
Where a subscription renews automatically, the applicable price, billing interval, renewal conditions and cancellation method will be disclosed before you subscribe.
By expressly confirming an automatically renewing subscription, you authorise recurring charges in accordance with the disclosed terms until you cancel.
You may cancel a subscription through your Opringo account or the relevant third-party provider, as applicable. Cancellation will prevent future renewal, but access to paid features may continue until the end of the current paid period unless the applicable terms or law provide otherwise.
Deleting your account or uninstalling the application does not necessarily cancel a subscription purchased through a third-party provider. You must also cancel through that provider where required.
Any outstanding payment obligations remain subject to applicable law and the terms disclosed at purchase. Opringo will not treat cancellation as consent to undisclosed charges or recurring payments.
The applicable prices, payment methods and conditions for paid services will be displayed on the Platform, the relevant third-party payment page or the applicable rewards programme before you commit to a transaction.
Depending on availability, payment methods may include bank cards, authorised online payment services, direct billing and the Opringo wallet.
The total price, applicable taxes, payment frequency and any recurring charges will be disclosed as required by applicable law.
If a payment fails, we may notify you and request that you update your payment details or complete the payment through an authorised method. We will only retry or recover payments where authorised by your payment arrangement and permitted by law.
You are responsible for keeping your payment information accurate. Any card updater or replacement-card billing arrangement must be authorised and used in accordance with applicable law and the relevant payment provider's terms.
Where Opringo offers a rewards programme or permits eligible users to redeem virtual currency for money, the applicable eligibility rules, conversion rates, fees, thresholds, verification requirements, processing times and restrictions will be disclosed in the relevant programme terms. No cash redemption or financial return is guaranteed unless expressly provided under those terms.
Refund eligibility depends on the nature of the purchase, the applicable purchase terms and the laws governing your transaction.
Where permitted by law, charges for completed digital purchases or used subscription periods may be non-refundable. This does not limit any statutory refund, withdrawal, cancellation or other consumer rights that apply to you.
Consumers residing in the European Union or European Economic Area may have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right for certain distance contracts. The application of that right to digital services and subscriptions depends on the relevant legal requirements, including any valid consent to immediate performance and acknowledgement of the consequences for withdrawal rights.
Where a refund is legally due, it will be processed in accordance with applicable law and, where practicable, using the original payment method.
To request a refund, contact support@opringo.com and provide your order reference, transaction details and a description of the issue. You may find your order reference in your purchase confirmation or wallet transaction history, where available.
